17 UN Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030. - Reduce the consumption of primary raw materials (including fossil fuels, water and energy). We stress the importance of switching off all electrical lights and equipment.
- Encourage sustainable practices by staff, travel partners such as hotels and airlines and our clients.
- Encourage and demonstrate sustainable approaches to the built environment in our refurbishment and maintenance projects.
- Minimize waste production and divert it from landfill, therefore supporting the reuse, recycling and recovery plan.
- Consider sustainability in the procurement of goods and services, as well as encourage bulk buying.
Prevent pollution and environment damage where possible, and advocate for garbage separation. - Work with conservation organisations that support environmental, community and wildlife protection.
- Advocate strongly for green commuting, telecommuting, carpooling, taking mass transit and human-powered commuting.
- We advocate for the use of green materials such as biodegradable soaps.
- Encourage travel to natural areas
- Minimize impact of tourism activities on natural attractions
- Recognize and build awareness about local conservation values and their importance to society
- Provide direct benefits and empowerment for local people at destinations without retrogression on environmental, cultural or local living standards.
- Respect local people, their customs and culture
- Support sustainable development of local economies through direct involvement and participatory decision-making.

Goal 1: No Poverty
Access to basic human needs of health, education, sanitation. Economic growth must be inclusive to provide sustainable jobs and promote equality.
Goal 2: Zero Hunger
Providing food and humanitarian relief, establishing sustainable food production. The food and agriculture sector offers key solutions for development, and is central for hunger and poverty eradication.
Goal 3: Good Health & well-being
Better, more accessible health systems to increase life-expectancy. Ensuring healthy lives and promoting the well-being for all at all ages is essential to sustainable development.
Goal 4: Quality Education
Inclusive education to enable upward social mobility and end poverty. Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to improving people’s lives and sustainable development.
Goal 5: Gender Equality
Education regardless of gender, advancement of equality laws, fairer representation of women. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
Improving access for billions of people who lack these basic facilities. Clean, accessible water for all is an essential part of the world we want to live in.
Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
Access to renewable, safe and widely available energy sources for all. Energy is central to nearly every major challenge and opportunity.
Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Creating jobs for all to improve living standards, providing sustainable economic growth. Sustainable economic growth will require societies to create the conditions that allow people to have quality jobs.
Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
Generating employment and income through innovation. Investments in infrastructure are crucial to achieving sustainable development.
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
Reducing income and other inequalities, within and between countries. To reduce inequalities, policies should be universal in principle, paying attention to the needs of disadvantaged and marginalized populations.
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
Making cities safe, inclusive, resilient and sustainable. There needs to be a future in which cities provide opportunities for all, with access to basic services, energy, housing, transportation and more.
Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
Reversing current consumption trends and promoting a more sustainable future. Responsible Production and Consumption
Goal 13: Climate Action
Regulating and reducing emissions and promoting renewable energy. Climate change is a global challenge that affects everyone, everywhere.
Goal 14: Life Below Water
Conservation, promoting marine diversity and regulating fishing practices. Careful management of this essential global resource is a key feature of a sustainable future.
Goal 15: Life on Land
Reversing man-made deforestation and desertification to sustain all life on earth. Sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss
Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Inclusive societies, strong institutions and equal access to justice. Access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions at all levels.
Goal 17: Partnerships
Revitalize strong global partnerships for sustainable development. Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
